Holiday Breads

Garlic Cheddar Biscuits
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
6 Tablespoons butter
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
3/4 cup buttermilk

Mix everything except buttermilk, then slowly pour it in. Roll out and cut out biscuits.
Brush the tops with a little butter, then sprinkle with topping. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes.

Topping:
1/4 teaspoon parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
pinch of salt

Pumpkin Rolls
These are similar to my Sweet Dinner Rolls, but with white flour.
½ cup sugar
¼ cup warm water
1 cup milk
2 Tablespoons melted butter
1 cup cooked pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon salt
6 cups  flour
3 ½ teaspoons yeast
Knead together and let rise 1 hour. Form into balls and let rise half an hour more. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.
