Donairs

This is one of my husband's favorite meals. A coworker of his passed the recipe along to him a few years ago and he's been hooked ever since. To be honest, I am not a fan... of pita in general, of the meat, and I can't stand the sauce... But we have had lots of guests who love it. It's definitely worth trying once!

Donairs
1 lb ground beef
¼ cup bread crumbs
½ teaspoon pepper
½  teaspoon cayenne (more for Peter)
½ teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
Mix together and form a loaf.
Bake at 300 until 170 degrees.

Cut into slices, and put into a warmed pita with diced onion and tomato. Drizzle with donair sauce.

Sauce:
2/3 c sweetened condensed milk
¼ cup white vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Mix together and refrigerate until thickened.
