What I am thinking about today...

Lukewarm people are continually concerned with playing it safe, they are slaves to the God of control. This focus on safe living keeps them from sacrificing and risking for God...Lukewarm people do not live by faith; their lives are structured so they never have to. They don't have to trust in God if something unexpected happens-they have their savings account. They don't need God to help them-they have a retirement plan. They don't genuinely seek out what life God would have them live-they have their life planned and mapped out. They don't depend on God on a daily basis-their refrigerators are full, and for the most part, they are in good health.
~Francis Chan, Crazy Love

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 7:21

For many walk, [who ]  are the enemies of the cross of Christ:  whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things. Philippians 3:18

I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Revelation 3:1

I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Revelation 3:15

Christians, do not become complacent in this world. To be spit out, means to have once been part of the body of Christ, and then being forcefully sent away. NOTHING on this earth is worth it.

"You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Produce fruit in keeping with repentance....The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.... [Jesus] will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire." Matthew 3
