More Crazy Love

I really can't recommend this book enough. Please read it, and be convicted and changed to follow after Christ more! Both of Francis Chan's books are VERY cheap on Amazon, and you can get a free 3 month membership to Amazon prime which will give you FREE shipping on any order during that time if you are a mother.

"NOTHING should concern us more than our relationship with God; it's about eternity, and nothing compares with that. God is not someone who can be tacked on to our lives.. We need to realize that how we spend our time, what our money goes toward, and where we invest our energy is equivalent to choosing God or rejecting Him. "

"Are you willing to say to God that He can have whatever He wants? Do you believe that wholehearted commitment to Him is more important than anything or any person in your life? Do you know that nothing you do in this life will ever matter, unless it is about loving God and loving the people He has made? True faith means holding nothing back, it bets everything on the hope of eternity."

"Christians today like to play it safe. We want to put ourselves in situations where we are safe "even if there is no God". But if we truly desire to please God, we cannot live that way. We have to do things that cost us during our life on earth but will be more than worth it in eternity."

"How would my life change if I actually thought of each person I came into contact with as Christ- the person driving painfully slow in front of me, the checker at the grocery store who seems more interested in chatting than ringing up my items, the member of my own family with whom I can't seem to have a conversation and not get annoyed? If we believe that, as Jesus said, the two greatest commands are to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind" and to "Love your neighbor as yourself", then this passage has a lot to teach us. "

The King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;  I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed
You, or thirsty and give You drink?  When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’  And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
“Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:  for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
“Then they also will answer Him,saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’  Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do
it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’  And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” ~Matthew 25
