Revolution in World Missions

I have finally finished Revolution in World Missions. K.P was convicting as always!

The Lord had been working in me anyways about how "one nation should have such spiritual luxury while 40,000 people in Asia die every day without hearing the Gospel even once."

We have Christian radio, freedom to worship, access to as many Bibles as we want to buy, Christian books, movies, sermons online... the list goes on. Yet there is so  little fruit in the lives of most American believers.

"God has not given this superabundance of blessings to American and Canadian Christians so we can sit back and enjoy the luxuries of society-even in spiritual terms, so we can gorge ourselves on books, teaching cassettes and deeper-life conferences. He has left us on this earth to be stewards of these spiritual and material blessings, learning to share with others and administer our wealth to accomplish the purposes of God".

"Three major reasons why the Body of Christ falls short in facilitating world evangelism are the sins of pride, unbelief and worldliness".

Ezekiel 16:49
Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50 And they were haughty and committed abomination before Me; therefore I took them away as I saw fit

"The secret of following God's will, usually is wrapped up in rejecting the good for God's best..otherwise we end up taking our eyes off obedience to Christ"

"How long since you have had an entire day to seek God's mind about your  plans? "
We have become so self sufficient, we forget to ask God about His plan before jumping in to start on our own.
"Because we do not have the humility to wait on Him...we have devised methods, plans and techniques to 'do' God's work. We apparently sense no need to pray and be filled with the Holy Spirit to do the work of Jesus. How far we have drifted from the faith of the apostles and the prophets! What a tragedy when the techniques of the world are brought into the sanctuary of God. Only when we are emptied of our self-sufficiency can God use us."

I know I am so easily distracted in life. I long to truly make Christ my all in all.
