A friend from church approached me with this idea and I was instantly in love! It is completely me! It is such a wonderful gift for new wives! Feeding their souls, while they feed their families!
I do have to give a disclaimer first. We do NOT recommend doing 20 at a time! But 5 would be just fine! A couple weeks after making them for the church fundraiser I made 2 more to give as gifts and it was a much more manageable task!
She found these beautiful albums at a great price at Michael’s (though when I went back they were twice the price! Target had them cheaply last time I was there though) . We stamped cards and wrote out the verse "Oh Taste and see that the Lord is good" Psalm 34:8 to put on the front.
We printed 20 yummy easy recipes on cards with a cute border, and 10 verses for each album (leaving about 3/4 of the album still empty so the recipients can add their own favorite recipes on 4×6 cards later!) Email me or leave me a comment with your email and I'd gladly send you the recipes we included and the verse cards as well.
I also added some blank index cards sporadically, so they have some available to write their favorite recipes on.
in the 2 that I made afterwards, I hand wrote some verses as well.
